The 72 Hour Shootout is a nationwide competition where filmmaking teams have 72 hours to write, shoot, edit and produce short digital films up to five minutes on a common theme. The intention of this competition is to create opportunities for Asian Americans to demonstrate their talent, gain exposure in the entertainment industry and to impact the visibility of Asian American stories and characters in film and television.

The results for the 72 Hour Shootout Viewer’s Choice is in and it was a close one!

In third place, we have Sam and Ben: A Love Story by Decoy Squad.

…Taking in second is BPS by Fellowship of the Onion Ring.

…And the first place winner is… Secret Chinese Secret by Foreign Image!

The official judging panel swayed in a different direction. Their top three winners were:

1. You’ve Got Male by Team 100%
2. Elizabeth Ong is Missing by Team HeadOn
3. Secret Chinese Secret by Foreign Image.
